Marquel

What's Cooking?

Marquel and her family used double dollars at SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley to shop for abundant greens and the crunchy carrots and crisp green beans her boys love. This week, she’ll make cabbage in a Dutch oven, seasoned with a little pastured pork bacon and salt and pepper. She buys an extra bunch of carrots, because “the first one never makes it to the house!” For her Thanksgiving table, she's looking forward to roasted sweet potatoes and lots of fresh greens.

Don’t forget that our local farmers have everything you need for a delicious, home-cooked Thanksgiving feast—from turkey to sweet potatoes to pecans for pie! Come on out to the SFC Farmers’ Markets on Saturday and stock up for next week’s cooking!
