Pease Elementary School's New Rain Garden

My name is Carolina, and I’m one of the Community Engagement Coordinators at Sustainable Food Center (SFC). One of my responsibilities is running the information booth at the SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley. While getting up early on a Saturday sounds like it might be a chore, I really cherish my days at the market. Whether it’s 30⁰ or 100⁰, I love it. How can that be? Fresh & New at the SFC Farmers' Market
Figs Figs Figs... They have arrived at SFC Farmers’ Markets! Other summer favorites are also in abundance, like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, zucchini, squash, and potatoes. Look for watermelons of all sizes, plus peaches and cantaloupe to round out the summer fruit selection. This weekend at SFC Farmers' Market at Sunset Valley stop by Richardson for a nice steak for the grill. Try it with grilled peaches. Farmshare Austin - Second Annual Farm Raiser
On July 31st Farmshare Austin will host its 2nd annual Farm Raiser at the historic Saengerrunde Hall in downtown Austin. The event will feature square dancing (with lessons first!) and live music, bbq, local vegan and vegetarian delights, and craft beverages.
