Thank you so much to everyone who attended our 9th Annual Farm to Plate event on May 11, 2016. The event was a huge success, and thanks to everyone who attended, we raised over $200,000 to support access to local food for everyone in Austin!

From clear skies to a beautiful outdoor setting at the historic Barr Mansion, we couldn't have asked for a better night to celebrate our local food community. New Austin restaurant Juniper hosted a lively VIP experience complete with sweet and savory bites and tasty sips. This Week at the SFC Farmers' Markets

SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

• New vendor Belle Vie Farm and Kitchen from Thrall, Texas is bringing a little bit of France to Central Texas with their duck pates, rillettes, and sausages. They also have sweet items like macarons and crème brûlée, made with their fresh duck eggs. Visit them this Saturday at the market and grab some of these delicious treats before they are gone!

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

• It’s blueberry season which means Swede Farm Dairy of Waller, Texas will have their famous lemon-blueberry chevre at market this weekend! This is a seasonal item; make sure to visit the market before they run out. Not in the mood for lemon-blueberry? Check out other chevre flavors like plain, garlic and chive, smoky, and cranberry.

Summer Camp with Creative Action
There are still spots available for "Tastes of Texas" summer camp, hosted in partnership between SFC and Creative Action. The camp will be held July 25-29 from 9am-4:30pm.
