We are excited to announce a new opportunity for our market farmers and clients that is expected to create additional sales and reach new customers with home produce delivery. SFC is working with UberEATS to help bring their delivery technology to the SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown by facilitating online ordering and delivery of fresh, local produce directly from farmers. Not able to make it to the Farmers’ Market on Saturdays? This is a good alternative for you to get the local, fresh produce you want, delivered directly to your door, while still supporting your local farmer. Farmers will not pay a fee to participate, plus, UberEATS is offering a discount to new customers and donating a portion of proceeds to support SFC’s food systems work...

This Week at the SFC Farmers' Markets

SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

  • Construction Update: You may have noticed some changes downtown as construction of Republic Square Park has started, but don't worry, SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown will continue operations as usual as we move into peak summer harvest season. For more information about the park beautification project, check out the Austin Parks Foundation website. See you at the market!
  • New vendor: Joe’s Microgreens has joined the lineup of amazing farmers and ranchers at SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown! Microgreens are a fantastic addition to salads, sandwiches & soups - check them out this Saturday.
  • Cool off this weekend with a sweet popsicle from Mom and Pops! These all natural frozen pops are a great way to keep cool while shopping the market. They have a variety of flavors like Strawberry, Pineapple Basil, Coconut and more.

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

  • Kubena Farms will have a great variety of summer produce like tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos, onions, and squash!

Help Dewberry Hills Farm
On Saturday, April 30th a massive thunderstorm devastated the Dewberry Hills Farm sustainable pastured poultry farm. This is the fourth weather catastrophe to strike Dewberry in less than a year, and their resources are exhausted. They've set up a GoFundMe campaign to help rebuild their farm. Slow Food Tomato Dinner at Springdale Farm
Taste the very best of tomato season on June 21st at Springdale Farm. The Tomato Dinner, benefiting Springdale Center for Urban Agriculture and Slow Food Austin, will highlight a variety of types and preparations of vine-ripened tomatoes from the farm. The evening will begin with a seasonal cocktail and appetizers, followed by entree courses and a plated dessert by participating chefs and artisans from Weather Up, Confituras, Bufalina, Eden East, Counter 3.
