This Week at the SFC Farmers' Markets

SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

• Baylor Scott and White: We are proud to announce our collaboration with Baylor Scott and White. They will be tabling this weekend next to our Taste the Place Booth. Come talk to their nutritionist and chef as they help make farm fresh and local snacks from the market.
• Summer Veggies & Recipes: If you’re looking for an excellent assortment of local summer veggies, you’ll want to stop by and see Tecolote Farm. They’ll have sweet onions, beets, summer squash, a variety of cucumbers, and herbs like parsley, basil and garlic chives. Don’t know what to make with all of this amazing produce? Check out their new recipe sharing group on Facebook!
• Summer Fruit: Fresh fruit is an essential part of summer snacking and Lightsey Farms has a great variety of local peaches, blackberries, and plums. Don’t forget to go see them again in a few weeks for figs, peas, and okra!

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

• Fresh Baked Bread: Looking for fresh bread or pastries? Check out Texas French Bread at either Saturday market. They have delicious baked goods and pastries in addition to their bread options.
