Another school year is underway for all AISD students and staff, which means another year of Farm to School and we need your help! We are very excited about our growing efforts with the AISD Food and Nutrition Services team to help procure and promote healthy, local fruits and vegetables as part of the offerings in each and every school cafeteria. That is our primary goal with our Farm to School program, and we couldn’t do this without the help of our Farm to School Ambassadors. SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

• Fresh Cream:  Perfect for your breakfast needs, Richardson Farms will have low-temperature pasteurized cream available in pint containers, as well as their whole fresh milk in new "half gallon" containers.
• Moon Flour:  Moon Flour from Lua Brazil will be available this weekend. Create easy, quick crepes with this tapioca-based flour. No cooking oils are necessary to prepare!

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

• Produce Variety: Stop by Johnson's Backyard Garden for a wide range of summer produce. Expect to find beets, eggplant, melons, squash, okra, and peppermint. Available at all SFC Farmers' Markets and SFC Farm Stand East.

Sustainable Food Center Presents: The Chef’s Table Cooking Series
Join us for one or all of these special evenings featuring Austin's finest chefs. On September 16th at 6:30pm enjoy a delicious evening from Chef Peter Maffei of the NEW Cannon + Belle, with wine from Hye Meadow Winery and beer from Saint Arnold Brewing Company. We are pleased to offer scholarships to the 10th Annual Farm and Food Leadership Conference and Food Safety Training to local farmers interested in selling their produce to schools.  Learn more »
