Facilitator Spotlight: Jeanette Reyes-Fuchs

Jeanette Reyes-Fuchs was trained as a facilitator for SFC’s The Happy Kitchen/La Cocina Alegre® in summer 2015. She works for the ACE-Austin afterschool program of Austin Independent School District (AISD) and they sent her to the training. During the 2015-2016, she helped facilitate The Happy Kitchen’s free six-week community cooking class series at three different ACE schools. New Fall Cooking and Gardening Classes

THIS WEEK AT SFC FARMERS' MARKETS

 
SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

  • Texas Food Ranch:  Stop by Texas Food Ranch and hear all about their recent adventures in Armenia while browsing their variety of fresh vegetables. They will have Spicy Hot Arugula, Fresh Malabar Spinach, Dill, Cilantro, and more.
  • Heat and Eat Soups: Indian Hills Farm will be bringing their nutritious heat and eat soups to both Saturday markets this weekend. They will have Tarragon Chicken Soup, Campfire Beef and Beans, and Grassfed Beef Brisket Chili. 

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

  • Temporary Move to Home Depot: For one day only on Oct. 1st the market is moving to Home Depot. In support of the Capital City Marching Festival find us at our temporary location at 1200 Home Depot Boulevard (Off Brodie Lane near Academy Sports).
  • Austin Film Festival: Wanting to help at the Austin Film Festival? Come down to the market to learn more about how to get involved!
