AISD's Garden to Cafe Program

Update on AISD's Garden to Cafe Program

AISD’s Garden to Café program, launched in fall of 2016, bridges the gap between harvesting fresh garden produce and adding it to school meals. The program allows schools to serve produce from the school garden in school meals during lunchtime.

Planning Your Warm Season Garden

THIS WEEK AT SFC FARMERS' MARKETS

 
SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

  • Kakawa Babies: Visit  Cocoa Puro Chocolates for these fine flavor cacao nibs covered in white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and cocoa powder. It's five chocolates in one bite!
  • Preservation Austin: Come learn more about Preservation Austin and what they do for the Austin area. The will have fun activities for both children and adults!

 
SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Saturday from 9am-1pm:

  • Citrus Season: It's Confituras' citruspalooza at the SFC Farmers' Market at Sunset Valley & Downtown this weekend! They will have: Meyer lemon curd, kumquat marmalade, blood orange Campari jelly, orange chile de arbol marmalade, and much, much more!
  • Aquaponics:  Come say hi to one of our newest vendors - Esperanza Farms! They will have spicy microgreens, a variety of lettuces and more!
