Give 5% to Mother Earth Day
We are excited to be a beneficiary of this year’s Give 5% to Mother Earth campaign which will be held in honor of Earth Day on Friday, April 21st! Give 5% Day unites local businesses who pledge to donate 5% of their sales to 9 local nonprofits, like ours, working to protect and preserve the environment in Central Texas. New this year our friends George Cofer of the Hill Country Conservancy and Colin Wallis of the Austin Parks Foundation will be hosting the Give 5 Magical Mystical Bike Tour, a day-long cruise around town to visit our sponsors and business partners. - Spring Produce: This weekend Texas Food Ranch will have Armenian Cucumbers, Golden Russet and Purple Moon Taters, an abundance of green beans, snap peas, and their ever popular greens.
- Bourbon Sweets: Cocoa Puro Chocolates will have delicious Fresh Bourbon Pecan Milk Chocolate truffles this weekend at the market.
- Hues of Green & Red: Tecolote Farm will be bringing lots to the market this weekend! They will have beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, kohlrabi, spring onions, Salad mixes, arugula, Sweet Asian Mustard Greens, collards, kale, chervil, cilantro, parsley, dill, shallot scapes, garlic chives and more.
SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Sat. April 22nd from 9am-1pm:
- ArtFest: Join us at the 11th Annual Sunset Valley ArtFest! There will be over 70 local artisans, local musicians, and children’s activities. This event is free, runs from 9am-4pm and is right next to our Sunset Valley market.
- Greens Galore: Johnson’s Backyard Garden will have kale, spinach, bok choy, basil, broccoli, radishes, turnips, carrots and much more.
