SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Sat. May 13th from 9am-1pm:

  • Local Goodness: This weekend Cocoa Puro Chocolates will have strawberry balsamic black pepper truffles made with Tecolote Farm strawberries and Terra Verde balsamic vinegar from Texas Hill Country Olive Oil Company!
  • Organic Fruits & Veggies: Tecolote Farm will have carrots, turnips, radishes, kohlrabi, sweet red beets, fiesta beets, chard, curly kale, French Sorrel, leeks, fennel, green beans, salad mixes, arugula (in small supply), herbs galore, summer squash, Mediterranean cucumbers, strawberries, blackberries, and SO much more!

 
SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Sat. May 13th from 9am-1pm:

  • Mother's Day Art Special: Arte Para la Vida is having a Mother's Day Special on their original, local art works!
  • Children’s Activity: This weekend we have Travis County Master Gardeners Association joining us! Bring the family out to learn more about herbs through a fun and hands-on activity.

 
SFC Farmers’ Market at the Triangle, Wed. May 17th from 3pm-7pm:

  • Johnson’s Backyard Garden will have all kinds of colorful goodness including yellow squash, green onions, leeks, cabbage, red potatoes, tomatoes, orange carrots, golden beets, cabbage, curly kale, collard greens, cauliflower and more! Available at all 3 SFC Farmers' Markets.

EarthShare of Texas Presents: Bats, Birds and Barbecue
The second event of EarthShare's anniversary series is, "Bats, Birds and Barbecue: A Dinner Discussion of Wildlife and Habitat Conservation Beneath a Bat-Filled Sky" on May 20th at Bracken Cave. Watch the awesome evening emergence of the world’s largest bat colony and meet some raptors up close and personal. Water Capture, Storage, and Conservation at Community Gardens
Visit Homewood Heights Community Garden for a tour and panel discussion all about water capture, storage, and conservation. Learn success strategies for setting up a rainwater system and the technical ins and outs of water storage and conservation and mulching techniques.
