Summer is upon us again in Central Texas! To help you get through the summer heat, we’re revisiting our summer gardening FAQs from last year. Throughout most of the country, summer is prime gardening time with warm temperatures and long daylight hours. But here in Central Texas, many people consider it the dormant season. With very little rainfall and scorching temperatures, it is just too difficult for many plants to thrive.

  • Seafood Tacos: Concha's Salsa and Concha's Seafood now has Wild Caught Red Snapper Sliders made with Concha's Salsa Verde and Wild Caught Flounder Fish Tacos made with Concha's Salsa Rojo! Concha’s will also have wild caught seafood whole and seafood fillets.
  • Colorful Variety: Texas Food Ranch will have plenty of produce this weekend including squash, rhubarb, arugula, onions, radishes, cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes and more!

  • Goat Cheese: Didn’t have a chance to check out Bee Tree Farm’s delicious goat cheese last week? They’ll be back this weekend with plenty more including plain chevre, chipotle honey chevre, feta, and grillable cheese!
  • Sauerkraut: Boulanger Fermentation will have their awesome probiotic products this weekend like their Sauerkraut “Kare,” Sauerkraut “Beetnik,” Sauerkraut “Pickle,” and Kraut Jerky!
