Sustainer Circle Founders

Announcing Our SFC Sustainer Circle!

In July of 2016, we launched a new initiative - our SFC Sustainer Circle. Over the last year, we have been honored to have 37 individuals join us as sustaining champions of our mission. These Sustainer Circle Founders have collectively helped raise over $60,000 for our mission. These annual sustaining gifts are the most effective way to ensure the longevity of our work and the momentum we’ve built in this critical food movement. We'd like to thank these individuals for their continued generosity and support, and their work to help increase access to healthy, affordable food for everyone in Central Texas. Please visit our website if you'd like to learn more about our SFC Sustainer Circle and ways you can help us address hunger relief, increase food access, and support sustainable agriculture and the overall health and well-being of Central Texans.

SFC FARMERS' MARKET HAPPENINGS

SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Sat. Oct 7th from 9am-1pm:

  • Trick or Treat? Neither! It’s just all new Black Sesame Tahini from Fervor Nut Butters. Don’t let the color scare you, black sesame seeds are loaded with calcium, fiber, magnesium and so much more! Pick some up today to give your hummus, sauces and salad dressings some spooky vibes.
  • Cozy Up:  Belle Vie Farms always brings the perfect picnic fare with their jars of charcuterie terrine, pate and rillettes, in addition to brightly colored fresh macarons. This week stop in for some duck leg confit soup and gulf coast bisque! Then bring home organically fed duck meat, pork, bacon, duck eggs and more for dinner all week.

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Sat. Oct 7th from 9am-1pm:

  • Temporary Move: In support the CapCity Marching Fest taking place at the Toney Burger Center, we'll be moving the location of our Sunset Valley market for one day only. Find us just around the corner from our usual spot - right across the stadium lots. (View Map)
  • Ravishing Radishes: And so much more at Johnson’s Backyard Garden. Watermelon, purple, white, daikon, red and extra spicy black Spanish are in now. Kale and other greens are in season too, plus all your favorite summer eggplant, squash, peppers and potatoes. Can’t get enough JBG? Join them for a Fall Open House on October 28th at their Garfield Farm and really see where your food comes from.
  • Grab n Go: Happy Vegan has always got you covered for a quick bite to eat with their homemade vegan and gluten free cupcakes and cookies. Stop in now to try all new breakfast scones in three flavors: blueberry rosemary, apple cinnamon and raspberry lemon. Feeling savory? Pick up a mac n cheese or chick-un-salad, a raw and healthy option! Find them at Sunset Valley, Downtown and the Triangle.
