3 Reasons To Love Your Farmers' Market

THIS WEEK AT THE SFC FARMERS' MARKETS

SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Sat. Aug 11th from 9am-1pm:

  • New Vendor Alert! If you are getting cabin fever from all these hot days, grab a huge bunch of flowers from newest vendor Petals Ink to brighten up your abode. While you are outside braving this weather grab a cool treat from Luv Fats Ice Cream, all vegan ice cream made with avocados and local fruits.
  • Thank a Farmer: While we hope you make time in your schedule every week to patron the market and see what goodies are in season, this weekend is an especially important time to thank a farmer in your life as it is National Farmers’ Market Week! Stop by B5 Farms for onions and potatoes, Oma and Opa’s Farm for buckets of okra and squash, or head to Texas Food Ranch for the hottest peppers you’ve never heard of.

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Sat. Aug 11th from 9am-1pm:

  • New Vendor Alert! We are super happy to welcome Good Vibes Urban Farm back to the market. You may remember these micros and salad mix from the Yard to Market booth a while back, and now they are here to stay with an expanded list of veggies, homemade sauces and meals to go! Stop by to welcome them back this weekend.
  • Working for the Weekend: Make sure you practice self-care by stocking up on the freshest goods this weekend at the market. Goldenwood Mushrooms has beautiful clusters of oyster mushrooms perfect for a hot grill, and pick up some sweet winter squash from Flintrock Hill Farm to make it a slamming veggie meal. If you want a steak to top it off, we won’t judge! Just head down to Copper Creek Ranch for longhorn beef cuts to really impress your friends and neighbors.
