THIS WEEK AT THE SFC FARMERS' MARKETS

 
SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown, Sat. Sept 15th from 9am-1pm:

  • A Smoky Sensation: Check out Buster’s Smoked Pecans beautiful new packaging this Saturday! These pecans are smoked, flavored and roasted to perfection and are great additions to salads, soups or eaten by the handful. Try the tangy lime-hatch flavor, or stick to classics like maple or everything.
  • Pitter Patter: If you are digging these gray days and cool breezy nights as much as we are, considering heading to the market for some late summer soup supplies! Johnson’s Backyard Garden has a limited amount of lemongrass and some fresh salad turnips just waiting to be turned into Pho. Check out B5 Farm for some potatoes and onions for the base of any creamy and delicious soup, and pick up some beef bacon to start any good dish from our friends at Ranger Cattle.

 
SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley, Sat. Sept 15th from 9am-1pm:

  • Homestyle: Dewberry Hills Farm is back this weekend at Sunset Valley! These pastured chickens are the stuff of legends. Pick up whole birds for easy midweek roasts, thighs for savory soups, and ground chicken for stuffed peppers and burgers alike.
  • A Real Fungi: Looking to add some savory flavors to your cooking this week? Head to Goldenwood Mushrooms for stir-fry ready shiitakes, pints of blue oyster mushrooms to sauté and billowing lion’s mane that tastes just like lobster when cooked in butter.

Donate Fresh Food for Posada Esperanza
Posada Esperanza, the family shelter of Casa Marianella, needs your help to bring more fresh, wholesome food to their residents. They've created a food calendar where volunteers can sign up to bring some fresh (not packaged or canned) food items to Posada every Wednesday and Friday. Learn more »
