THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS  -  SAT, DEC 22, 2018

SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown:

  • Fresh to Impress: To really excite your friends and family this Christmas make sure to get the freshest veggies and best pastured meat from our Downtown market. Try a winter kale salad with greens from Texas Food Ranch, a crudité plate featuring crunchy veggies from Johnson’s Backyard Garden, and a veggie friendly main of roasted oyster mushrooms from HiFi Mycology. Don’t forget to pick up pork tenderloin from Belle Vie Farm or brunch ready bacon from Richardson Farms too.

SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley:

  • Something Sweet: Satiate your sweet tooth this winter with a traditional Bûche de Noel from Julie Myrtille, or just pick up a handful of almond croissants and some savory quiche to have one low stress meal before family time. For something a little lighter make sure not to miss beautiful meyer lemons (in season for only a short time) from Indian Hills Farm!
  • Good Bye, Gary Rowland: After more than 20 years of growing top-notch organic food and acting as a pillar of the Central Texas farming community, Gary Rowland is transitioning out from running Hairston Creek Farm. Join us this weekend for one last blast with Gary at Sunset Valley, and to support new farmers Robb and Hannah as they take full reign of the Hairston Creek operations.
