Welcoming Spring with Spread the Harvest


We were thrilled to see how many enthusiastic gardeners made it to our spring Spread the Harvest Resource Giveaway Day on March 28! During this all-day event, we provided resources to 395 Central Texas gardens. For the first time ever, we joined forces with TreeFolks to offer a tree giveaway at the event, and were grateful to have several other partner organizations on-site to provide information to attendees. SFC Farmers’ Market Downtown and at Sunset Valley:

  • Rockin’ Out: Flintrock Hill Farm is back in force at the Sunset Valley market! Stop by at 9am for their strawberries, and stock up on eggs and greens to get all the makings of a farm fresh breakfast.
  • Tea’d Up: Looking for a local, delicious pick-me-up? Stop by Lost Pines Yaupon Tea at our Downtown market for some of their locally harvested yaupon teas! This week they’re rolling out a new strawberry yaupon iced tea and concentrate to showcase the beginning of the strawberry season.
