THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS

How ‘Bout Them Apples! Please join us in welcoming Apple Valley Orchard to our Sunset Valley market this weekend. John Caballero grows fujis, galas, red delicious and crispin apples at his family orchard in Llano and is excited to bring these sweet local fruits to your family this weekend. Keep checking in for apple cider, apple butter, and more in the coming months!

Egghead: Eggs are the infinitely versatile food we need as summer comes to an end and school (routines) start back up. Whether you like to have a few hardboiled in the fridge for easy breakfasts, are stocking up on quiche for savory lunches, or you have a hankering for easy and creamy late night carbonara, you are in luck at our Downtown market.

Early market shoppers know to stop by Milagro Farm before Kris sells out of his pastured eggs, but you can find chicken eggs nearby at Shirttail Creek Farm, Smith & Smith Farm, Richardson Farms, and Texas Food Ranch. For the best eggs (and more) at the Gillespie County Fair stop in at Hat and Heart Farm (try the turkey eggs as well!) If you are looking for some extra richness, try the duck eggs from Margaret’s Farm or Belle Vie Farm and Kitchen. Happy eating!
