FOOD ACCESS INEQUITY EXISTS IN AUSTIN - HERE'S WHY AND HOW TO HELP

Healthy food is a human right. No one should have to choose between paying rent and putting a healthy dinner on the table. But here in Austin, 15% of our residents are food insecure. THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat, Oct. 12

Go Ahead, Chicken Out: Try the amazing local chickens at both of the markets this weekend from Shirttail Creek, Smith & Smith, or Richardson Farm. Once you get a bite of these birds you’ll struggle to go back to that grocery store chicken.

Fall of the Fermentable: Keep your health up this fall with some of the best of local probiotics! Stop by We Culture at the Sunset Valley and Downtown markets for some of their signature sauerkrauts and kimchi. Our friends at Casper Fermentables are taking kimchi, pickles, and black tea kombucha to the next level at the Downtown market. Also Downtown, Kala’s Kuisine is bringing delicious Nepali flavors to Texas classics, as well with their okra kimchi, lemon pickles, and more!

The Market Goes On: ACL is this weekend and next, but be not afraid! Our Downtown market will be operating in its usual place and time, come find us like usual in Republic Square from 9-1! Like every Saturday, we have free parking for market patrons in the surface lot just south across 4th street from Republic Square.
