THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat, Nov. 9

Downtown: They say if you don’t like the weather in Texas wait thirty minutes! This week is surely putting that to the test, so if you craving stew during these cold nights and crisp salads during the day, the Downtown market can provide all the ingredients you are looking for.

Check out Peach Creek Farm this weekend to pick up a pork loin that tastes great roasted for dinner alongside a pan of cubed sweet potatoes from Johnson’s Backyard Garden, and makes for great lunch leftovers the rest of the week on top of a bed of greens from Animal Farm.

Sunset Valley: As the weather cools off hens start producing more eggs, so make sure to pick some up from Shirttail Creek Farm this weekend. If you are scratching around for a recipe idea, try a simple potato and egg frittata using potatoes from Hairston Creek Farm. If breakfast for dinner doesn’t move you pick up a roast from Copper Creek Ranch and cook up a hearty company pot roast this weekend.
