HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM ALL OF US AT SFC

Every Thanksgiving we reflect on what we're grateful for. Today, we'd like to give thanks to you for supporting Sustainable Food Center, our local farmers, and healthy food access for everyone in our community. Food brings us together - over a shared meal, we build our connections with each other. We hope your Thanksgiving meal today brings you the joy of food, family, friendship, and connection.

Thank you for your partnership and support this year. Because of you, together we are building a local food system that benefits our health, our community, our environment, and our local farmers who grow the food we enjoy today.

P.S. If you need a last minute recipe, check out our quick and easy Cornbread with Fresh Corn and Bell Peppers.

THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat, Nov. 30

Give Your Oven a Break: Snap out of your leftovers haze and grab some brunch this weekend at the Downtown market. Austhentico has seasonal tapas including paella, blistered shishito peppers, and a tortilla espanola.

The Golden Pineapple has food suited for strolling the market. Lumpias (think long eggrolls) and marinated chicken kebobs keep you satisfied while you walk around. Newcomer Elotes la Tejanita offers spicy and fresh take on a Mexican street food classic, with fully dressed corn on the cob or in a cup (vegan options available!)

Salad Days: Sunny afternoons and cool nights have led to an explosion in salad offerings. Head to Esperanza Farm for succulent butter and romaine lettuces grown just outside of Austin. Continue on farmer row to find your salad toppings including pickled lunchbox peppers from Hairston Creek Farm and radishes and herbs from Yard to Market Coop.
