THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat, Aug 1

Markets are open this weekend! To keep our vendors, staff and customers safe, we request everyone wear a face covering or mask while in the market area. Please visit our website to learn more about our safety measures.

SUNSET VALLEY: Shirttail Creek Farm is located in the rolling blackland prairie of Brenham, Texas and always brings high quality beef, chicken, and eggs to market (preorder here). Try the caveman ground beef for some added vitality, it’s 75% ground beef and 25% ground heart and liver! On the lighter side Flintrock Hill Farm has a plethora of peppers this weekend shishitos, sweet bells, cubanelle frying peppers, jalapeno, banana, serrano and cayenne. Greens are also hanging in there despite the heat and you can pick up some sweet summer chard, kale, and hydroponically grown lettuce.

DOWNTOWN: For an international spin on your market shopping this week you must stop by Belle Vie Farm and Kitchen for some French Lady pork sausage. Made with shallots, garlic, parsley, tarragon, and pasture raised heritage pork, all you need to do is provide some heat for a delicious dinner. For a taste of the old world look no further than Texas Food Ranch who grow heirloom vegetables right here in Central Texas. Try the Armenian cucumber, a long pale muskmelon with a delicate skin and crisp texture that can be used raw, pickled, or turned into a delicious agua fresca.

SFC Farmers' Market match SNAP, WIC and FMNP benefits with Double Up Food Bucks! Visit our website for more information on which vendors will be at market, what products are in season, and more.
