THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat, Nov 7

Turkey Pre-orders: It’s that time again - order your local, humanely raised, sustainable Thanksgiving turkey now! Richardson’s Farm (Downtown and Sunset Valley) and Belle Vie Farm and Kitchen (Downtown) will be taking preorders online and in person this weekend. Reserve yours soon!

Remember nothing goes better with your delicious Thanksgiving meal than a fresh edge on your kitchen knives. Get your dull blades whipped in to shape this weekend! Stop by Star Knife Sharpening Downtown and Southpaw Bladeworks at Sunset Valley. Drop your knives on your way into the market and pick them up on your way out for sharp cuts throughout your holiday season.

DOWNTOWN: New Vendor Alert! Just in time for gift giving season check out our new artisan vendors. Kalte Stein makes handmade ceramic beer mugs for the discerning beer aficionado. Jude + Remy make custom threads for your pup, including bandanas and bowties. All locally made in Austin, these canine accessories are the perfect gift for every person’s best friend. Happy Hendrix Farm is a tiny urban farm with one big mission: to bring the people of Austin exotic, rich, and happiest eggs around. Check them out for duck eggs, goose eggs, guineafowl and quail eggs along with some multicolored chicken eggs for the faint of heart. Three Legged Crow Kimchi is also starting at the Downtown market with authentic Korean flavors directly for you. Pick up a jar of kimchi this weekend and check back in a few weeks for hot and fresh kimchi fried rice!

SUNSET VALLEY: As the weeks turn cooler our thoughts are solely on meal planning. Get everything you need this week at the markets, including large chunks of fluffy lion’s mane mushrooms from HiFi Myco! We’re thinking vegan crab cakes, with the leftover filling stuffed inside half a steamed squash from Flameleaf Farm. Take some additional squash cubes and add them to a pound of beef from Copper Creek Ranch - night one make a hearty beef stew and the next day serve it over noodles with some sour cream for an easy transition to goulash.

To keep our vendors, staff and customers safe, we request everyone wear a face covering or mask while in the market area. Click here to learn more about our safety measures. SFC Farmers' Market match SNAP, WIC and FMNP benefits with Double Up Food Bucks! Visit our website for more information on which vendors will be at market, what products are in season, and more.
