THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat, Dec 5

DOWNTOWN: Get some hot food while you’re at the market this weekend! Grab some kimchi fried rice from Three Legged Crow Kimchi Co. - traditional Korean street food in the heart of the ATX. They’ve also got kimchi jarred and ready to go if you can’t get enough of it while you’re at the market. The tortas from Zoma's are another market treat (especially their chicken adobo) - make sure you ask for a fork with your order so you don’t leave anything behind!

SUNSET VALLEY: Nab some comfort food as the colder weather settles in! Dorothy’s Choice cheesecakes are some of the best around, though you should also nab some of their perfectly portable puddings, cakes and cobblers for the cold to come. If you are looking for savory sensations, look no further than our new vendors at Teximo Comfort Foods, with salmon smoked locally coming to you right in time for the holidays!

To keep our vendors, staff and customers safe, we request everyone wear a face covering or mask while in the market area. Click here to learn more about our safety measures. SFC Farmers' Market match SNAP, WIC and FMNP benefits with Double Up Food Bucks! Visit our website for more information on which vendors will be at market, what products are in season, and more.

THE WEEKLY
We'll be sharing recipes to cook, terms you should know, and more in our weekly selection!

Recipe: Parsnip Apple Coriander Cumin Soup
One of our favorite things about shopping the farmers' market is that it shines a light on some often overlooked vegetables. Pair fresh veggies, like parsnips, with a great recipe like this one from Jason Wilson and maybe you'll be ready to applaud, too!

Event: Farmshare Austin's Annual You (and We) Pick!
Dec. 12. Enjoy the seasonal bounty while supporting Farmer Starter scholarships! There are TWO ways to participate: 1) Reserve a box of just-picked Farmshare organic veggies PLUS local artisanal food items! 2) Sign up to tour the farm and have a hands-on veggie harvesting experience.
