THIS WEEKEND AT THE MARKETS
Highlights, Vendors, Events and more. Downtown and Sunset Valley - Sat. May 29

It’s Memorial Day Weekend - a perfect time visit the market! Visit all our vendors to buy your assortment of veggies, meats, and delicious eats for your backyard gatherings. Both markets run Saturday, 9AM to 1PM: Sunset Valley, located just across from the Toney Burger Center, at Sunset Valley Elementary, and Downtown Austin at Republic Square.

Downtown: Joining us from Lockhart is Emadi Acres Farm. Stop by and see their wonderful assortment of veggies including beets, broccoli, cabbage, salad greens, fresh herbs, and edible flowers. Pirate Pickles features preserves and pickled organic vegetables from local farmers. Their delicious pickled options include cucumbers, okra, jalapenos, and beets. And if you’re not in the mood to cook, make sure and visit Prep To Your Door. Their meal delivery service focuses on plant-based menus including delicious dishes such as Thai Green Curry, Sloppy Jack, and their Burrito Bowl to name just a few.

Sunset Valley: Start your weekend menu by visiting Megan and Louie from Flameleaf Farm. They began in 2020 and grow a variety of produce including carrots, beets, and several greens, all with the commitment to “growing healthy food for loved ones and strangers alike”. And to go with those wonderful veggies, Shirttail Creek Farm has some of the best dry-aged grass-fed beef, perfect for your Memorial Day celebrations. Plus, they have pasture-raised chickens and eggs too! And if you’re new to kombucha, Buddha's Brew is the perfect place to start. They have a wide variety of flavors, from basil to pineapple to ginger - all will make you a fan of their delicious drinks!

SFC Farmers' Market match SNAP, WIC and FMNP benefits with Double Up Food Bucks! Visit our website for more information on which vendors will be at market, what products are in season, and more.
