Another great weekend for the market as the summer rolls on and calls for some fresh and delicious eats!! Visit all the vendors and discover the large variety of veggies, meats, baked goods, ready-to-eat meals, and artisan crafts. Find the SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley at the Toney Burger Center with over 30 vendors offering fresh local produce, pasture-raised meats, and homemade food this and every weekend. Also find us Downtown at Republic Square; both markets run Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM.

Downtown: Have you ever wandered down the bustling night market streets of Taiwan? If so, then you know exactly what a wheel cake is! This handheld treat is infamous at Taiwanese night markets and is a fresh, made-to-order snack, with an almost pancake-like outer shell with your choice of filling, ranging from custard to fruit, to the very traditional red bean and taro! Savory or sweet, visit Free Wheeling Cakes and discover this delicious treat! And if you’re ready for freshly grown and flavorful tomatoes, stop by and say hi to Leigh’ Ann and Jordan at Billie and Jeans Farm. They have a wonderful assortment including Cherokee Purple, Cherry Bomb, Roma, and Granadero, along with a variety of other fresh veggies to choose from and even some tasty baked goods.

Sunset Valley: One of the SFC Market regulars has always been Johnson's Backyard Garden. They began their start in 2004 when Brenton Johnson transformed his East Austin backyard in the Holly Street neighborhood into a bountiful vegetable garden. Each week at both SFC markets, they offer a large variety of vegetables to choose from and also a pick-up site for their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) customers. Be sure to check them out. If you want to discover an array of jerky flavors, visit ATX Homemade Jerky. They are “beef jerky artists” with an assortment including Peppered Bacon, KC BBQ, Southern Reaper, and of course, The Original. And to compliment the savory eats, visit Bradshaw Farms. And with a divine dessert menu to choose from, Dorothy's Choice has sweet baked goods including delicious cheesecakes, pecan pralines, and a variety of sweet cupcakes to name a few.
